Parrots are among natures most splendid creations
Their vivid plummage and incredible ability to mimic
are priceless treasures. Unfortunately these beautiful
birds are endangered in their native habitats. Human
population growth and deforestation have already
rendered many species extinct, some may only be able
to survive in domestic breeding programs. Many parrots
are now being kept as pets requiring special care which
their owners often don't recognize. The purpose of the
Parrot Education Project is to understand these exotic
birds through interactive presentations featuring the
live birds themselves. Their future and their vital roles
in the rainforest as well as their needs as pets will be
presented and discussed. We have over two dozen
species of tropical birds at our aviary in NW Georgia
and we will be taking many of these with us for our
presentations. All of our birds will be featured at the
presentations we will host at our farm and aviary.
Our 45 minute traveling presentations are available for booking now.
Our home presentations at the aviary will be available after the first of May.
Individual and family visits to our facility are welcome, donations are as well.
